Tamils voted positively: TNA
Results of second phase of the LG polls 2011 indicate that an immediate solution is needed for the national question, N.K. Sivajilinagam former MP of Tamil National Alliance (Illankai Thamil Arasu Katchchi) said.
The TNA won 18 out of 65 local councils at the Saturday’s LG polls. The Tamil people had voted for a dignified political settlement, he said. The TNA had further campaigned for a dignified political settlement. The people have given a mandate to endorse it, he said.
The Northerners expect a solution which would enable them to live in a united Sri Lanka, he said.
