Dilshan ruled out of T-20.....!!!
Sri Lanka captain Tillakaratne Dilshan has been ruled out of the T-20 International against England at Bristol on Saturday to provide his fractured thumb enough time to heal. Dilshan sustained a hairline fracture on his right thumb after being struck by Chris Tremlett during the second Test against England at Lord’s. His 193 at Lord’s became the highest score by a Sri Lankan batsman at the Home of Cricket surpassing Sidath Wettimuny’s 191, who made it 27 years ago. During that innings, he was struck twice on the same spot by Tremlett.
Dilshan didn’t play the third Test as well, but is expected to be fit for the first ODI against England at The Oval on Tuesday.
Thilina Kandamby, who has been the surprise choice for the post of vice-captaincy, will lead the side in the absence of Dilshan.
