Wink More LTTE Double Cabs, Jeeps, Bowser, Arms & Ammunition Collected

MULLAITTIVU: FINAL thrusting movements of valiant troops at the shrinking enemy forged ahead for another day on Monday (16) while collecting a wide assortment of LTTE bombs, explosives, arms and ammunition.
53 Division troops in PERIYAKULAM area after fighting went on collecting one 12 kg heavy claymore mine, 3250 T-56 ammunition rounds, 1000 GPMG ammunition rounds, four 60 mm mortar bombs, three RPG b bombs, one abandoned bicycle and a few other LTTE items.
In the meantime, troops serving MARUTHAMPUAL, PALKUDIRIPPU, VISUAMADU and PUTHUKUDIRIPPU areas after several rounds of fighting collected one dead Tiger, two T-56 weapons, one Light Machine Gun (LMG) weapon, fourteen Rocket Propeller Grenade bombs, one claymore mine, 6250 T-56 ammunition rounds, ten detonators, twenty-three hand grenades, four 81 mm mortar bombs, one Toyota double cab, one Nissan double cab, one kerosene bowser, one Land Cruiser Jeep, one underground tank, 2005 T-56 ammunition rounds, 4.5 kg iron balls, 85 anti personnel mines, 1.5 kg TNT explosives, ten 81 mm mortar bombs, thirty-five 81 mm Improvised Explosive Devices , seven parachute bombs, fifteen RPG bombs and a few more LTTE items from those areas. In addition, a place identical to a workshop with seven different machines was also found by the troops in PALLAKUDIRIPPU and VISUAMADU areas.
Similarly, 57,58,59 Division troops as well as the troops of the Task Force-II, IV and V deployed in the west of PUTHUKUDIRIPPU, KUPPULANKULAM, MULLIYAVELLI, UDAYARAKATTU, AMPAKAMAM areas after pitched battles collected another haul of LTTE arms, ammunition and many other warlike items. The stock contained one 81 mm mortar, one 60 mm mortar, one claymore mine, 500 T-56 ammunition rounds, three anti personnel mines, ten 60 mm mortar bombs, four RPG bombs, one radio set, 810 ammunition rounds, one 120 mm mortar bomb, five 81 mm mortar bombs, one RPG bomb and one T-56 weapon.
Detection of more and more LTTE vehicles and other items testifies to the fact that Tiger terrorists now on the flee in the restricted areas have abandoned their interest in those vehicles.
